  The Return I overheard two elderly men discussing the return of Jesus in doubtful tones because they had heard all about it from their grandmother when they were little boys and He still hadn't come. I was reminded of 2 Peter 3:3,4 where he tells us that in the last days people will make fun of you and  will ask, "He promised to come didn't He?  Where is He? Two angels appeared to the apostles after they saw Jesus disappear into the clouds and told them He would come back the same way they saw Him go to heaven (Acts 1:10,11). 2 Peter 3:8,9 tells us that there is no difference in the Lord's sight between one day and a thousand years; to Him the two are the same. The Lord is not slow to do what He has promised, as some think. Instead, He is patient with us, because He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins. Inconvenience   If we are being total honest, I think most of us would agree that we don't like to be inconvenienced.  We get way too comfortable in our comfort zones.  It takes practice for us to step outside. The first step is to take our eyes off of ourselves and focus on others. We have no greater example of someone stepping outside their comfort zone and focusing on others than Jesus.  He left the comfort of His heavenly home for us. Galatians 6:2 tells us to help carry one another's burdens. It doesn't say, if it's convenient help to carry one another's burdens. Many times during His earthly life Jesus was inconvenienced but He always took the time to help.  Let's be a little more like Jesus.                                                           We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works ...

Unconditional Love Unconditional love is defined as love without strings attached.  It's love you offer freely. You don't base it on what someone does for you in return.  You simply love them and want nothing in return. Unconditional love is hard to find. We live in a me, me world.  As long as you are fulfilling my needs and making me happy I will love you. This is called conditional love and doesn't usually last long. I would like to share a few scriptures about unconditional love with you.   The Cross I wrote The Cross after seeing the movie The Passion of Christ. I had seen many other movies on the life and crucifixion of Christ but this movie which focuses on the last hours and death of Jesus really brings you to the cross. They beat Him over the head with a stick, spat on Him, fell on their knees and bowed down to Him.  When they had finished making fun of Him, they took off the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him.   Breakthrough It's important to realize that there is a difference between conviction and condemnation.   If you have asked forgiveness for your sins and you are feeling condemned, know that is not coming from Jesus. Romans 8:1 tells us that there is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. Ask Jesus to free you from the guilt of former sin s. Don't be a slave to past mistakes.  Also don't let the world (people) try to keep you in bondage by throwing your past in your face.  Walk away from their condemnation.                                                           Lord I'm prone to halt and stumble, grief and sorrow dwell within, shame and guilt my spirit humble, help me, pardon all my sin. Humility 🎵  Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way🎵 .  This song sung by Mac Davis is funny but at least he admits he's having a hard time being humble because he thinks he's perfect. Part of being humble is admitting our shortcomings and mistakes and apologizing when need be.   Like the saying goes (If you think you're humble you're not).  So is being humble just doing the best that we can?.... Part of the song.🎵 This is what I found:  Humble people keep quiet about their accomplishments and the good things they do.  They are modest and often embarrassed by praise.  Instead of being proud of themselves, a humble person will be happy for others who deserve the credit.  A picture is worth a thousand words. What the Bible says about the Occult   Occult is defined as:  supernatural, mystical, or magical beliefs, practices or phenomena.      The Bible makes it quite clear that we are to avoid   anyone or anything that tries to replace God and His plan for our lives.  Acknowledge that I alone am God and that there is no one else like Me (Isaiah 46:9).  For I alone  know the plans I have for you (Jeremiah 29:11).      But people will tell you to ask for messages from fortunetellers and mediums. "With their whisperings and mutterings, they will tell us what to do."  They will say, "After all people should ask for messages from the spirits and consult the dead on behalf of the living."  You are to tell them , Listen to what the Lord  is teaching you!  Don't listen to mediums-what they tell you will do you no good (Isaiah 8:19-20).                         ...
