Part of being humble is admitting our shortcomings and mistakes and apologizing when need be.   Like the saying goes (If you think you're humble you're not).  So is being humble just doing the best that we can?.... What the Bible says about the Occult   Occult is defined as:  supernatural, mystical, or magical beliefs, practices or phenomena.      The Bible makes it quite clear that we are to avoid   anyone or anything that tries to replace God and His plan for our lives.  Acknowledge that I alone am God and that there is no one else like Me (Isaiah 46:9).  For I alone  know the plans I have for you (Jeremiah 29:11).      But people will tell you to ask for messages from fortunetellers and mediums. "With their whisperings and mutterings, they will tell us what to do."  They will say, "After all people should ask for messages from the spirits and consult the dead on behalf of the living."  You are to tell them , Listen to what the Lord  is teaching you!  Don't listen to mediums-what they tell you will do you no good (Isaiah 8:19-20).                         ...

Spiritual Gifts   My daughter gave me some gifts to keep for her.  When the time came for me to give them back, I discovered I had hidden them on myself.
