Hope

Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

According to Psychology Today envisioning something you are hoping for can give you a moment of happiness.  This coincides with Proverbs 4:23 which tells us to be careful how we think because our lives are shaped by our thoughts.

I like this statement I came across on hope: Hope is the belief that circumstances will get better. It's not a wish for things to get better-it's the actual belief, the knowledge that things will get better, no matter how big or small.

The world will try to steal our hope but we serve a God of hope and He wants us to know that He is still in control. The more we hope the more the world will loosen it's grip on us.

As I was taking a walk one day I came across this lone flower growing out from among the rocks. To me this is a perfect picture of hope.

So let's walk forward with our heads held high, our hearts full of hope and an expectation of beauty for ashes.

Simply Put:

May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in Him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
