Knowledge and Wisdom
Knowledge is facts, information and skills acquired by a person through experience or education. Wisdom is the ability to use your experience to make wise decisions. N. Sri Ram said "Wisdom is not a question of learning facts with the mind; it can only be acquired through perfection of living."
You can have a drawer full of degrees and still not be wise and on the flip side, you don't need a wall full of framed diplomas to be a wise person. All the education in the world won't give you wisdom. All we have to do is look at the state the world is in to know that this is the truth.
When God appeared to King Solomon and asked him, "What would you like Me to give you?", Solomon didn't ask for wealth, fame or long life but for wisdom and knowledge so that he could rule over the people. Solomon knew that knowledge alone wasn't going to cut it. Then God told Solomon that he had made the right choice. (2 Chronicles 1: 8-11). God knew that along with wisdom would come long life, as well as wealth and honor (Proverbs 3:16).
Of course we need the knowledge that comes from education but knowledge without wisdom can be a dangerous thing.
