Rest Assured

I believe a lot of us need to hear this so that we can rest assured.

One morning while I was watching television, a young lady came on and shared her testimony.  She told how while out swimming, she got into trouble and almost drowned. She explained how she cried out to the Lord for help and was saved, as she put it, twice that day, physically and spiritually.

Her story really brought home to me that we don't know what's going on between anyone else and God, especially when they're taking their last breath.

                                                       


                                                       



 Simply Put:  Some let You in at the beginning, some at the end of the trip. That's between you and them, hence a personal relationship. JD

  Forgiveness Our biggest deterrent to forgiving someone could be that we think if we forgive them we are saying that what they did was alright. I googled forgiveness and this is what I found:  Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.  Forgiveness does not mean condoning or excusing offences. This is what the Bible says:  If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done (Matthew 6:14,15).                                                 Simply Put: Forgiveness frees the forgiver.

  Rejection One of the most painful human experiences is that of rejection. If you are feeling the sting of rejection and are thinking that no one understands, know that Jesus does.  John 1:11 tells us that He came to His own country and His own people did not receive Him.  On the night before His crucifixion, when He was arrested, His friends all ran away and left Him (Matthew 26:56). So let the one who has been there hold and comfort you and He will give you the assurance that when you open your eyes everything will be all right.  You will be assured that on the other side of the door acceptance is waiting.                                                                                  Sim ply Put: There is acceptance after rejection.
