Money

Have you ever heard the term "Money is the root of all evil?" I never liked that statement. Then I discovered 1 Timothy 6:10 which says: The "love" of money is the root of all evil. Now that made more sense to me.

Just as we enjoy giving good things to our children, Psalm 103:13 tells us that our Heavenly Father wants to bless us.  As we hope that our children will love us above material possessions, so God expects the same from His children. Just as we like to hear a thank you now and then I'm sure God does too.

I love and believe God's promise that if we put Him first, everything else will fall into place (Luke 12:31).

  Forgiveness Our biggest deterrent to forgiving someone could be that we think if we forgive them we are saying that what they did was alright. I googled forgiveness and this is what I found:  Forgiveness is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person who has harmed you, regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness.  Forgiveness does not mean condoning or excusing offences. This is what the Bible says:  If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done (Matthew 6:14,15).                                                 Simply Put: Forgiveness frees the forgiver.

  Rejection One of the most painful human experiences is that of rejection. If you are feeling the sting of rejection and are thinking that no one understands, know that Jesus does.  John 1:11 tells us that He came to His own country and His own people did not receive Him.  On the night before His crucifixion, when He was arrested, His friends all ran away and left Him (Matthew 26:56). So let the one who has been there hold and comfort you and He will give you the assurance that when you open your eyes everything will be all right.  You will be assured that on the other side of the door acceptance is waiting.                                                                                  Sim ply Put: There is acceptance after rejection.
